| Over the last few years there
have been other alarms that have looked like the Poolguard, offered the same
guarantees as the poolguard, they have even copied the operating instruction
word for word. The names they have gone under are
JB 2005, ALPOOL, PROTECTOR, AQUA ELITE, AGUA ALERTE
, KOENIG , POOL ALERTE and others...
The above are all Chinese copies of the poolguard and
as such are imitations.

The
Poolguard has been tested by the Consumer Product Safety Commission
(see copy)
and has a history of over 25 years.
The
Picture above is of the JB2005 although is still being sold stating that it
complies with the French AFNOR regulations (NF90-307/A1) BUT ON THE 7th
September 2006 the Tribunal of Commerce of Marseilles stated that it did not
comply.
The
document put forward as a 'Certificate of conformity to NF (Normes Française)
laws", is in fact a "partial verification" document. It has been declared
invalid for use as a full certificate of conformity and revoked by the issuing
body, INTERTEK ETL SEMKO.
There is only one Poolguard
alarm and that is the PGRM-2E, don't buy inferior copies that may cost less but
have no history and are there just to make a quick profit.

"Don't compromise on Safety"
On
September 7th 2006,the Tribunal of Commerce of Marseilles has stated JB2005
alarms DON'T COMPLY with AFNOR standard NFP90-307/A1.
The certificate of conformity to French
standards for JB 2005 alarms has been revoked and banned.
