Safewater Alarms
came upon this product by complete accident whilst doing research on a new line
of products and was so impressed we have added it to that line.
The Thudguard at
first glance looks like a riding helmet or a bicycle helmet and although neither
it is a form of head protection. The Thudguard is a crash helmet for baby's and
small children when they are new to the balancing part of life.
When baby's are
starting to move around or when they are placed in the sitting position, what
often happens is they tend to rock back and forth try to balance or crawl which
ultimately leads to them toppling backwards on to hard floors or head butting
furniture.
Then once the
baby finds its feet and starts exploring the realms of the house, bangs and
knocks become an even more of a problem.
Well Thudguard
has the solution
"Over 500,000 children's head injuries are
recorded each year !" (DTI)

Thudguard is the
only product of its type in the world that complies with safety standards and
the only product endorsed by Children's Accident & Emergency Experts.

"I think the Thudguard will
be welcomed by many parents as a piece of equipment that may provide protection
for children from a head injury. This can only be a good thing as even one
accidental head injury is one too many. Avoiding head injury means reducing
potential visits to the A&E department, which in turn may potentially save the
NHS resources.
I would like to remind parents that any child with a head injury should be seen
by medical staff if there is concern about their condition, whether or not
protective head gear is worn".

"It is a pleasure to
support the 'Thudguard' in my capacity as President of the British Association
for Accident and Emergency Medicine. Any device which helps to reduce the number
of head injuries sustained by young children each year is most welcome"
